BIBLIOGRAPHY

Hans Mobbit (1897-1968) and Wilma Bradenton (1914-1970) collaborated on over a dozen books about the little-known but widespread phenomenon of organized crime in the animal kingdom. Their books include Animal Crimes and Misdemeanors (1934), Tiptoes and Top Hats (1939), Masterminds of the Meadow (1943; reprinted 1952), Fox in the Henhouse! (1951), and Tiny Animals, Giant Crimes (1957), which some contend is their masterpiece.
