David Serlin is a writer, editor, and historian who teaches in the Department of Communication at the University of California, San Diego. He teaches on many subjects including history of science and technology, history of architecture, history of disability, and the history of media from cave paintings to the smartphone. He lives in Brooklyn, New York and San Diego, California with his husband Brian Selznick.
