Herbert Hobbypocket (1910-1992, shown with his wife, Bianca, ca. 1957), was born in Canberra, Australia. He was the author of numerous books including Famous Space Crimes (1966) and What’s Wrong with the Moon? (1970), the latter of which served as the basis for Holst Punkyburg’s 1974 award-winning documentary about moon dust.
