Barbara Bathtowel (1934-1997) was born in Pierre, South Dakota, USA. She became intrigued with food-related crimes in her early teens when, as the school bully, she stole lunch money from other children. Bathtowel is best remembered for Famous Pizza Crimes (1982), which was the basis for the short-lived TV series The Pepperoni Files (1984-1985) starring Ken Galveston and Anne Senter. She is buried in a pizza box outside of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
